Akuma, is the toughest fighter introduced into the Street Fighter legend.  While being introduced to Shotokan karate with his brother Gouken, this demonized fighter embraced the art wholeheartedly. Under the training of Goutsetsu, Gouken shunned the evil nature while Akuma was consumed by it.  In a fit of jealous rage, Akuma killed Goutsetsu and sought out and defeated his brother - so he could be the sole holder to this power. Ken and Ryu witnessed the events, and swore to avenge the death of their master.  Akuma, who would only fight the fiercest of warriors, ignored their threats.  After traveling the world to search and destroy the most powerful opponents, Akuma's power grew with every victory.  His only real threat lies in the form of Ryu's untapped potential, and he eagerly awaits the day death will come for one of them.
